THE KOPPD COURSE

One day. Real AI working in your business by the end of it.

A live, in-person build day for owners and operators who want to stop being sold AI and start using it properly. Small group. Real examples. No hype.

IS THIS FOR ME?

Honest answer below.

This is for you if…

  • You run a business and want to automate the jobs that eat your week.
  • You're a freelancer or consultant who wants to offer more without adding headcount.
  • You've had an idea for a tool for months and just need someone to show you how to actually make it.
  • You want to understand what you're hiring for. You'll still work with developers — but you'll brief them properly, know what good work looks like, and stop paying for guesswork.
  • You learn by doing. Watching someone explain things on YouTube doesn't stick.

This is not for you if…

  • You want a certificate for the wall.
  • You want to "learn about AI" in the abstract. This day is about building.
  • You haven't got a laptop.
  • You want slides, theory, and a reading list.
  • You're looking for a networking event with canapés.
30-SECOND SELF-TEST
Got a real problem in your business you'd want AI to help with?
Can you bring a laptop and commit a full day in person?
Up for learning by building — not watching slides?
VERDICT · GREEN LIGHT

VERDICT · LIKELY GOOD FIT
Come along — you'll get value.
You're not a perfect fit on every question, but you've got enough of the ingredients. Most people in this position leave with something working and a much clearer sense of where to take it next. Book it, or email us first if you want a human check.

VERDICT · NOT YET
Start with Learn first.
The course is a build day — it works best when you arrive with a real problem and the appetite to ship. Start with the free short-form and the prompt library. When you've got something concrete you want to solve, come back.

OUTCOMES

By 5pm you'll have built something real.
And you'll know how to build the next thing alone.

THE DAY

A build day, not a lecture day.

Click any slot to see what you walk out with and which tools come into play. Everything is built around your own project — not a generic demo.

09:00
Coffee and the brief.
Everyone arrives with one thing they want to build. We look at each one out loud, sharpen the scope, and lock what each person is walking out with.
WHAT YOU WALK OUT WITH
One sharpened, buildable idea — not a vague list of things you "might" do. Tool: pen and paper. Laptops stay shut for the first 45 minutes on purpose.
09:45
Your build stack, live on your laptop.
Accounts opened, tools installed, API keys in place. Nobody moves on until everyone is set up. This is the bit that usually takes people three weeks at home — done in 45 minutes, in the room.
WHAT YOU WALK OUT WITH
A working build stack on your own machine — Claude account, one or two build tools, API keys, a project folder, and everything tested. Tool: Claude, your editor or chosen platform, your browser.
10:30
Prompting like a builder.
The patterns that separate "AI wrote me an email" from "AI built me a working tool". Taught while you're actively using them on your own project.
WHAT YOU WALK OUT WITH
A prompt pattern that works on your actual problem — saved, named, and ready to reuse. Not a list of tricks. A system you'll extend for months. Tool: Claude, your project brief, your own writing.
11:30
Start building.
Heads down. You build your thing. We walk the room. Hands-on support the whole way.
WHAT YOU WALK OUT WITH
A first version of your tool — rough around the edges, but actually running on your laptop. This is the moment most people lose months on at home. We cover it in 90 minutes. Tool: whatever matches your project — varies per person.
13:00
Lunch.
Proper food, dietary requirements captured at booking. Your instructor tends to eat a piece of fruit on the fly and stay in the room — so if you're one of the keen ones who'd rather push through, there's a hand available. This isn't a hype day, and we want that to show up in the reviews.
WHAT YOU WALK OUT WITH
A proper break if you want one. Or an extra hour of quiet build time if you're on a roll. No performance pressure either way. Tool: fork. Sometimes chopsticks.
14:00
Build continues.
Most people hit their first "oh, this actually works" moment here. It's the best bit.
WHAT YOU WALK OUT WITH
The "it actually works" moment. The thing on your screen does the thing you built it to do. You'll remember this hour of the day for years. Tool: the build stack from 09:45 — at full tilt now.
15:30
Ship and test.
Get it live. Test it on a real task from your business. Fix what's broken.
WHAT YOU WALK OUT WITH
A tool live and tested on a real task from your business. Not a demo. Real input, real output. Tool: your deploy target — Vercel, Framer, Notion, internal doc, wherever it needs to live.
16:30
How to build the next one.
The framework for doing this again on your own — scoping, tool selection, prompt design, knowing when to stop. No slides. Live walkthrough.
WHAT YOU WALK OUT WITH
A repeatable framework for scoping and shipping the next build without us. Four questions to ask before you start, three signals that tell you when to stop. Tool: your notebook — this bit is written by hand on purpose.
17:00
Show and tell.
Each person demos what they built. Two minutes each. This is where you realise what's possible.
WHAT YOU WALK OUT WITH
Ten working tools demoed in 20 minutes. Ten different businesses, ten different problems, ten working solutions — from the same starting point you did. This is when the penny drops. Tool: your laptop screen, everyone else's attention.
17:30
Drinks, optional.
For those who want them.
WHAT YOU WALK OUT WITH
Good conversations, optionally. Most of the cohort tends to stay. This is where the WhatsApp group forms and the post-day friendships happen. Tool: a glass, ideally not a plastic one.

QUESTIONS

Before you book.

What do I need to bring?+

A laptop. That's it. We get you set up in the room — no pre-installing anything at home.

Do I need to be good with tech?+

If you can use email and a spreadsheet, you're fine. The day is designed for non-technical owners. Nobody gets left behind.

Is lunch really included?+

Yes. Proper food. Dietary requirements are collected during booking.

What if I can't make the date I booked?+

Reschedule up to 7 days before, no charge. Closer than that and we'll work it out case-by-case.

Is there an online version?+

Eventually. In-person first — it's a better product, and the room energy is a real part of why it works.

Can I send a member of staff instead of me?+

Yes. Just let us know in advance so we can collect dietary details and adjust the cohort mix.

Will I really leave with something working?+

Yes. That's the whole point of the day — it's a build day, not a lecture day. If you leave without something working that solves a real problem in your business, we'll refund you.

What's the refund policy?+

Full refund up to 14 days before the cohort. After that, we can reschedule you to the next available date at no charge.

I built Koppd because I wanted something in the middle — between "AI for creators" cringe and enterprise software owners can't afford. The course is what I wish someone had run when I started.
